Default Character Name, Size, Hair, Color, etc

How come you can't change these about your character after it is created ?

Or the name of the character ?

Isn't that a bit ridiculous if you that's all your changing ? It doesn't affect gameplay...

The name change could attract scammers, but I don't see any problem with the other attributes.

Some wouldn't make sense if you ask me, however I wouldn't mind Hair.

Well i can understand why they won't let you change the apperance too much, i mean have you tried to change the colour of your skin lately?... its not as easy as it looks

Im sure in the future they will let you do more with the hair, i mean some of the hair choices were... well lame for the male warrior.

with today's sergical technology, we should be able to change the character's sex also.
I don't care that much or at all. I wouldn't mind it of course, but being able to change attributes is enough for me.

I hope they'd allow us to change, or at least have a mechanism to make one change.. just in case we have some second thoughts after completing the game with our character.

Barber - Hair, yep, why not? Maybe even some "special" haircuts for a big amount that aren't avaible when creating? Seems cool to me, appereance will not change the game, and there were barbers in that time.
Plastic Surgery - Face, hmm.. No thanks.
Painter - Color, no way.

And name shouldn't be changable. Scammer will scam someone, change their name, scam another guy, change names, and so on.

Name changing isn't allowed because people would be able to scam people then change their names, and things like that, Gaile says, although it's rather silly, since logged information should be account wide, not character based.

Nah. Too many changes. I can understand changing your Hair, although it isn't really that big of a deal, but the others... well, I don't know. Why would you want to change the other stuff?

You might be drunk on eggnog the day you created your character, and one week later he looks heinous to you

They've commented that in C2 people will be more customisable, i assume thats armour rather than body.

It's pretty standard for any RPG that you can't change these things once you have created them, personally i rather they worked on new features and continued to make great updates, rather than triffle with minor cosmetic changes.

i think a "barber" would be a good addition, and if they could do that, why not other features? i definately think the name change is a bad idea, just because of the possibilities for scammers, but other than that, i wouldnt mind seeing "feature change" gold sinks in the future. to be honest, id prolly shrink a couple of my characters simply because the weapons look massive on the small body.

Yeah, this stuff has been brought up in Sardelac hundreds of times, so this thread is pretty pointless , except that it is being discussed more here in the Inn than it would be in Sardelac

I don't mind not being able to change stuff but more options in character creation would be nice. I refused to play a male ele cause the armor makes me want to go hang some drapes, or cut hair, or bake a quiche. And the hair choices for all of them are really limited. But thats just a minor thing. It doesn't detract from my enjoyment of the game.

It is not pointless, the fact that hundreds of threads exists means people are very keen to see these happen.
